Yes or no?

The question a week ago was, “Will there be money to fund a 15th year of bus advertising across the whole of Scotland?” A week ago we didn’t know.  There was a tight deadline in order to get a discount.  So if it was going to happen we would have to find £35,700 within one week.  

It has been an amazing 7 days. As I write now, over 135 people have given a total of just over £35,450.  Your generosity and thoughtfulness have been thrilling to see.  Each day we have seen new gifts come, small and large, and often with encouragement and the prayer that God will use this. (A small detail: we stretched the booking just a little to make it a round number of 350 buses.  We have received all but £250 for this and we are confident the last amount will come.)

So the answer is YES and today I signed the contract!  There will be 350 buses displaying trypraying adverts from every available depot across the whole of Scotland. This will literally reach millions of people.

Behind all this generosity we see God’s hand and we are so thankful to him for doing this. We are also very thankful to every person who has given. If that’s you, thank you so much.

The big challenge now is for churches to engage with this exciting project in the spring (your church?). We’ll be talking more about this in the coming days.  But as for now, please rejoice with us.
